Mark's Barbershop started with a single chair and a simple belief: every man deserves a barber who takes pride in the craft. Founded in 2009 by Mark DeSouza, the shop opened its doors on Queen Street West in the heart of Toronto with nothing but sharp tools, steady hands, and a dedication to doing things right.

Growing up, Mark spent weekends in his uncle's barbershop in Scarborough, sweeping floors and watching the art of the trade unfold. By 18, he was apprenticing full-time. By 25, he had trained under some of the best barbers in the city. The dream was always to create a space where the classic barbershop experience — the hot towels, the straight razors, the real conversation — could thrive in a modern setting.

Over 15 years later, Mark's Barbershop has served more than 10,000 clients. The single chair became four. The small shop earned a loyal following. What has not changed is the standard: precision work, honest service, and respect for every person who sits in the chair.
